Our horsemanship camp runs from 7am-11am, 4 days a week. Each rider is assigned their own horse for the week and daily activities include lessons on groundwork, tack & tacking, horse health & wellness and of course - riding!

What to Expect
Start & End Times
Camp starts at 7:00am daily. Arriving between 6:55-7:00am is perfect!
Camp ends promptly at 11:00am. If you are running late, please call or text us at (520) 298-7450.
What to Expect
When you drop off your rider, we will have you check in and meet our team.
We have an open-door policy but encourage you to allow your rider to attend solo for the first few days. We find that our riders are often more confident when their grown-ups are not around!
When everyone has arrived, a wrangler will lead all of the riders down to the barn together to start their day.
Daily Schedule
Public Speaking Time
Education & Games
Tacking, Riding, and Untacking
Wrap Up
We provide daily snacks. If your rider has any food allergies that you have not already disclosed, please alert us.
What to Wear and Bring
Please ensure your rider wears long pants, closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen.
Please send your rider with enough water for 4 hours in the heat! We recommend at least 30 oz.
Many families find that filling a water bottle up halfway the night before to freeze and then filling the rest with water in the morning keeps the water cool enough for the whole morning.
If your rider is heat-sensitive, please send them with a towel or bandana that they can wet and keep around their neck.
Helmets are recommended but not required. If your rider is wearing a helmet, we require you to bring your own.
ASTM/SEI-certified helmets are preferred. Troxel offers several affordable options (TROXEL SPORT 2.0), but any equestrian helmet will work. We recommend sticking to well-known brands such as Troxel or Ovation.
Bike helmets are okay if needed.
